Cabinet Meeting Penticton October 16th, 2022 Environment Report DG Debbie, fellow cabinet members Sunny October weather feels like summer, but fall is coming on. It is time to clear out the garden patch and compost all the stalks and vines for new growth in the spring. Back yard composting is the most inexpensive fertilizer we can acquire! It is “Mother Nature’s own”, free for the making. Some clubs are doing road and nature trail cleanups, others river & stream cleanup. But not all are reporting these activities on MyLion. Only two club s in all of District D have reported their hours of environmental service. It’s important. I look forward to new ideas for my theme Recycle, Renew, Repurpose. I am attending the Multiple District Monthly Environment meetings held the first Tuesday of the month at noon. I learn so much from these meetings. We all share our knowledge. I am hoping to find someone to co-chair with me. If you are interested contact me at environmentangus@gmail.com Respectively Submitted PZC Angus Benedict Environment Chair
