Cabinet Meeting Via Zoom February 11th, 2023 LCIF Coordinator BC Report DG Debbie and fellow cabinet members I was asked to take on this position in October due to Lion Ken Cain having some health issues and no longer able to carry on with it. I attended the Canadian LCIF Retreat in Winnipeg, Manitoba, November 17th-19th. It was very informative and I came away a bit overwhelmed with learning I was also going to be the rep for District E North. Anyways I will do it to the best of my abilities. I also am attending monthly meetings with the other Canadian coordinators. I have had a couple of requests regarding LCIF on Melvin Jones Fellowships and Grants. I have an upcoming Zoom meeting the LCIF representative from LCI this month regarding grants, no date yet. If anyone needs to know how much their club has banked with LCIF towards a Melvin Jones Fellowship you can contact either PDG Joe or me as we have that information. There is a wealth of info on the LCIF site regarding grants – types, qualifying for one, etc. If I can be of service do not hesitate to contact me, if I can’t help with the answer I will find someone who can. Only 11 clubs in our District have donated to LCIF so far this year. And only a couple of individual donations have come in. Please remember that all donations to LCIF go right back out, no funds are kept back for overhead expenses. As well Canadians can now get a tax receipt for their personal donations. Just make sure you mail the donation to Lions of Canada Fund for LCIF / C/O Stan Durward / Box 38 / Sunderland, Ontario L0C 1H0. Respectively Submitted PDG Debbie Bostock
