       It never has been more important to focus on the Social & Emotional well-being for students and staff then now and it’s all virtual. 
       Upcoming workshops are: Thursday, February 16, 2023 - 11:00 am to 1 pm- PST
				    Tuesday, March 07, 2023- 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm- PST
                                                        Friday, March 31, 2023 – 11:00 am to 1 pm PST

Things happening in our District
        The teachers in SD#53, who took the workshop in 2019 are being contacted to see if they need to upgrade to a different grade level and if more teachers in the district require the training. 
        In addition to this all School Districts in District D are being contacted and presented with an outline of what Lions Quest can do for their students. 
        JoAnne McQuiggan, Executive Director of Lions Quest Canada, will be at our Family Reunion in Vernon April 28th and 29th.for a presentation on Social & Emotional Learning.
 
New Fundraiser:
	Child Identification Kits are available at $2.00 each. 
       These kits include: 
* Medical Records
* Dental Records
* A recent Photograph
* Personal Information
* Physical Characteristics
* Fingerprints
* DNA sample
In the event that a child is reported missing, the most important tools for law enforcement are an up-to-date, quality photograph and descriptive information about the child. This handy Child ID Kit provides law enforcement with all the necessary information that is helpful to locate the child.
District D has ordered 300 of these kits and they will be available at the conference in April.
          
       Donations are very important from clubs in our district to maintain these award winning programs for the well-being of our youth of today. Thanks to the clubs that have already donated this year and hoping those who have not, will consider a donation to Lions Quest Canada in the near future.
