I apologize for the lateness of this bulletin, it is getting closer to Christmas and getting busier, with each passing day. Last week we remembered those that had gone before us, protected us in the past and now in the future. “We will remember them” News from all around D8, “Inspire through Service ” Sorrento Lions held a Christmas Craft fair Nov 5. They had an exceptional turn out, and I am sure this will be an annual event for them. They also had their visit from VDG Michael Livingstone on Nov 17. VDG Michael presented Sharon Paulus with her husband Karl’s 50th year Chevron. Sadly Karl recently passed away. He also presented Lion John Howatt with his 20 year Chevron, and not present was past President Hans Schmidt his 10 year Chevron. Barriere Lions have been continuing to do their firewood project, and are getting ready for the holiday season preparing their annual breakfast with Santa. VDG Mike Michael visited them on Nov 16 and presented Lion Ron Lanoue with his 20 year Chevron, and awarded Antoon Houbin his Membership Key. Don’t Forget to do your MMR’s before the 20th. Mark your calendars: April 28 & 29 will be DG Deddie Allan’s District D conference. It will be held at the Prestige hotel in Vernon.
