Cabinet Meeting Report, Feb. 11 @ 9 AM via ZOOM
DG Debbie, fellow Lions,
Since our October Cabinet meeting, Zone 1 has increased membership from 150 members to 159 as of Feb. 8, 2023.  Armstrong increased by 4, Enderby dropped by 2, Lake Country increase by 4, Lumby increased by 7, and Vernon increased by 3.
We met in Armstrong on Jan. 15 for our second zone meeting with 16 attending from the 5 clubs in our zone. 
We completed the Vernon and Lumby schools for Vision screening in SD22 at the end of October, 2022.  1554 children in Kindergarten, Grade 3 and Grade 6 (18 schools) and 116 were given referrals to see an optometrist (7.46%).  The schools in the north region, SD 83 will commence April 3 and be completed by the end of April.  SD83 have asked us to screen the schools in Salmon Arm, Sorrento, Celista, Canoe and Tappin as well as Armstrong and Enderby (our zone).  Several volunteers from Vernon, Lumby, Armstrong and Enderby will be assisting with the additional schools and we are hoping that the Lions in Sorrento and Celista will assist as well.
All zone chair visitations will be completed with the last one to Lake Country to be on Feb. 15.  All visitations with DG Debbie Allen have been completed.
All of the clubs in D1 are up to date with their MMR’s each month – thanks to Joyce Stevens for keeping track of this for us.
