Minutes 19-I–4 th Cabinet Meeting–April 26 th , 2024–2:00 pm–Ramada Hotel Kelowna The Meeting was call to order at 2:09 pm by DG Michael Livingstone with 19 cabinet members and 7 Guests present. DG Michel introduced our Lions International Guest ID Guy Hollander from Lawrenceburg, Kentucky. All other Guests and Cabinet members introduced themselves. Old Business – 1. Approval of the February 03, 2024 minutes as circulated was moved by PDG Debbie Bostock and seconded by PDG Joe Nilles. CARRIED 2. District Youth Exchange Travel Account update. The District Youth Exchange Travel Account and Securities are at the SASCU, Salmon Arm BC. A motion was made by ZC Larry Finley and seconded by PDG Debbie Bostock to have the signing officers changed to DG Michael Livingstone, Okanagan Falls BC and PZC Lorne Grigg, Sorrento.BC. CARRIED A Motion was made at our last cabinet meeting to give a student from Wenatchee $1,000.00 US dollars for travel from our District Youth Exchange Travel Account. PDG Joe reported that the Leavenworth Lions Club will give her the monies until the District Youth exchange account is accessible. It was moved by PDG Joe and seconded by PZC Karen Bassett that the $1,000.00 US dollars be reimbursed to the Leavenworth Lions Club from our District Youth Exchange Travel Account. CARRIED New Business- 1. A motion was made by ZC Linda Schaffrick that 50% of the District Youth Exchange travel account and securities be donated to Camp Winfield. After discussion it was CARRIED with 1 opposed. 2. There was discussion on the Zoom licence. It was determined that PDG Joe would discontinue his licence and DG Michael will continue with his Zoom licence for the District for 2024-25 Lions Year. Zone Chairperson Highlights were given by I-2 - ZC Ted Tull I-8 ZC Linda Schaffrick I-3 - ZC Larry Finley I-7 ZC Lyle Markart I-9 - 2 nd VDG Steve Sweeney I-12 and I-13 - ZC Debbie Bostock MD19 Executive Director Peter Anderson reported on the upcoming MD19 Convention and the new Contest and awards patches. DG Michael gave all cabinet members a back pack for their hard work and support during the past year. He closed the meeting with wishes of success in the future for our New District 19-I.
