Cabinet Meeting Report - March 15, 2025 Since the last zoom Cabinet meeting on Jan. 11, I held my second Zone meeting on Jan. 12.  We had 26 club members from our 5 clubs present.  All but Lake Country/Winfield had their President, Secretary and Treasure present.  Lake Country/Winfield had the Secretary and one other member present.  The clubs have agreed to help finance the needs of the new forming Salmon Arm Club. Guiding Lions Judy Louis and myself have been busy developing the Salmon Arm Club.  Several projects are now in the works over the next three months.  The advertising will be asking for volunteers from the community to assist and hopefully increase the membership.  They are also planning a Membership Drive in April.  I attended the Growth Workshop series (3 sessions) with Richard Stevenson, Liz Crook and Jodi Burmester to learn more about starting new clubs.  Happy to see Michael Livingstone, Debbie Bostock and Bob Elliott at this training. The Vernon Lions entered a beautiful float in the Vernon Winter Carnival Parade and also distributed flyers and candy.  They have started their plans for the May 31 golf tournament to raise funds for Camp Winfield and the Ducks for Dogs duck race to raise funds for Service dogs for Autistic children. They donated $300 to the new Salmon Arm club. They have also started plan to celebrate the clubs 80th Anniversary next November. Enderby Lions have made several donations- $500 to the Runaway Moon Theatre Group to help fund their annual Winter Lantern Procession,  $500 donation to the new Salmon Arm club for startup costs, and $2,500 to JoeAnnas House in Kelowna. Lumby Lions presented a cheque for $2,500 to Matthew Leach to support him in pursuing his goal as a Para-Alpine Racer. Lake Country/Winfield Lions are currently raising funds for the Lake Country Food Bank's campaign to purchase a refrigeration truck. Our next zone meeting is April 27. I will be unable to attend the cabinet meeting on March 15 as I am committed to helping the Salmon Arm club with their event. Congratulations to our 2nd Vice DG Bob Elliott.   He will be a great asset to District I. Submitted by Zone Chair Sharon Cain 19-I-10
