Cabinet Meeting 3/15/2025 Hello everyone. February 22 we had a very eventful NLF Board of Trustees meeting, and learned many new things. White Canes Days has always been our fundraiser, and we continue to encourage clubs to support us by collecting funds for this event, hold events with proceeds going to this, or budget an amount and send in amount determined. In exchange, we provide all white canes to your club, and offer Sight and Hearing opportunities. Grants available: Please check out our website! 1. Patient Care Grants 2. Project Support Grants 3. Lions Clubs Hearing Program NLF has for years been active in our Districts in the US, and Dist ā€œIā€ is the first to get hearing aids available to our Canadian friends. How Exciting!!! In 2024 we were only asked for a total of 76 pair of hearing aids, and that number should have been over 200. Please check out our opportunities where we can help in your community. Remember when we were a stand alone Non Profit Eye Bank? Then concern when we became part of Sight Life and Now World Vision out of Florida? You will be happy to hear that we will be changing back to a stand alone Non Profit, and changes will be coming. We have lots of money in our endowment accounts and we are here to help each club. I am looking for a Canadian person, very interested in this, to be my elision in Canada. My position is a voted in position, as yours would be also. I am currently the traveling Trustee, but you would be part of everything along the way on zoom. Then there would be two of us in our District to work together and be able to share all information with all clubs. If you are interested in knowing more, please reach out to me. And if you are in Washington and interested in being the USA Trustee, I would like to speak with you also, as I am looking at changing positions within NLF. Sincerely, Shelley Costello PDG Shelley Costello, NLF Trustee NORTHWEST LIONS FOUNDATION Have you checked out our new Website: https://northwestlionsfoundation.org
