I have moved the ALERT funds at WAFd Bank in Leavenworth from a checking

account to a CD. We were getting inactivity charges to the account from, which

were reducing the balance. The CD has a balance of $4,838.43, for 7 months, and

will earn an annual return of 4.25%. If the money is needed for an emergency, we

would lose the interest, but can still get the funds when needed.
