Minutes Cabinet Meeting: August 31, 2024 Tonasket Call to order: DG Chuck Robinson at 10:30 DG Chuck welcomed all in attendance (in person and on Zoom) Addition to Agenda, PDG Joe Nilles asked that a report from 2024 Spring Conference be added to the agenda. PDG Debbie Bostock (she chaired conference) reported that the information will be shared at the cabinet meeting in January. Old Business: Minutes from April 26, 2024; ZC Craig Boothe made motion to approve, Marilyn Cordova seconded the motion. Approved. Youth Exchange account Lorne Grigg and Michael Livingstone reported that the fund has over $30,000 in it. PZC Linda Schaffrick, and PDG Debbie Bostock pointed out that at the spring cabinet meeting it was determined that part of the $ should be donated to Camp Winfield. Linda said the history of the donation came from Sunoka Youth Camp which was part of Camp Winfield in the past. Sunoka no longer exists. Leavenworth Lions Club loaned $1000 for sending a young woman from East Wenatchee to Youth Exchange camp in Australia summer, 2024. The Youth Exchange fund has refunded that amount to Leavenworth Lions Club. ($1300 Canadian = $1000 US) Leaving a balance of $31000+ in the Salmon Arms savings credit union. Originally it was determined to split the $ from Sunoka ½ to youth exchange, and ½ to Camp Winfield . The April 26 minutes a vote was taken to give 50% to Camp Winfield. It was moved by PDG Debbie Bostock and seconded by PZC Linda Schaffrick to send $12,500 to the Camp Winfield improvement fund. Approved. New Business: 2024-2025 Budget discussion. ZC Craig Boothe made a motion to approve the budget, ZC Bob Elliott seconded the motion.
