Cabinet Meeting Tonasket, WA August 31st, 2024 BC Lions Society Report DG Chuck and fellow Lions Happy to be starting a new Lions Year. I am your BC Lions Society Rep for this year. My goal as the rep this year is to keep the district informed on what is happening with the Society. Here are the highlights • All Camps were in full swing, and all were completely full in July • Family Camps in August were also completely full • We are partnered with Canucks Autism Network to run some special camps this summer for children on the autism spectrum • Camp Shawnigan Campaign going well, almost $9 million raised • We are doing special tours in September for some of the people who are interested in supporting the Campaign. Hoping to work with the local Lions to put on this event. • Easter Seals House is running at over 90% occupancy • Drop Zone is in September. We are doing well in Vancouver and Victoria. Kelowna and Burnaby could use some more registrations. We have 28 clubs in our District that have donated so far this year a total of $102,531.02 for Camperships and Camp improvements. Yours in Lionism PDG Debbie
