The rock has already been placed in Kirkham Korner at Camp Winfield and the plaque will be placed on the rock during the Camp Winfield Improvement Committee meeting on May 3-4, 2025. At our first Zone meeting in September 2024, we agreed that our Zone Project for 2024-25 would be to support Camp Winfield. Each club will donate $250.00 towards Camp Winfield Improvement Committee. We will wait until after the fall 2024 Camp Winfield meeting to decide which wish list item to fund. As a Zone, with Kettle River as the sponsoring club, we have begun to move forward to establishing a new lions club in Grand Forks, BC. On November 1st, myself, along with Michael Livingstone, District GETC (Global Extension Team), Ian March, Kettle River treasurer, Jenn Mallach Kettle River secretary and Amanda Neil Kettle River service chair met in Grand Forks with the Mayor to discuss establishing a new Lions club. The Mayor was very encouraging and so the process is beginning. On December 1, 2024, both Michael Livingstone and myself completed Guiding Lion training in Penticton conducted by Debbie Bostock and are both Certified Guiding Lions. Two members of the Kettle River club will be taking the Certified Guiding Lion course on-line. We will be having our 2 nd Zone Meeting of the year on January 19 th in OK Falls. We will be promoting our goals:  Leadership - Leadership will be the thing that keeps our district strong into the future.  Membership - Our goal is to have each club increase membership by 3 members net.  Service - Our Zone will always promote service reporting at all levels.  L.C.I.F. - Will promote giving to the foundation and have a positive message about it’s impact.
