I want to express my wife and my heartfelt gratitude for the friendship and warm reception we received at every club. It was a great experience to see how each club engages their communities. There are tremendous similarities and yet each club is unique. It is an energizing experience to see how Lions make a difference in every location. We hope to see some of you again during my term as District Governor and also look forward to celebrating significant milestones with some of your clubs. Please consider stepping up in our District! Positions Global Service Team (GST) Chair As part of the Global Action Team you work with clubs to assist reporting on the LCI portal. Good knowledge of the portal is helpful. Contests and Awards Chair Responsible for the annual conference awards working with the newsletter editor and clubs to solicit and encourage entries for conventions. Diabetes Chair Take the district lead on the diabetes awareness programs offered via LCI. This is one of the service goals for 2025/2026 Northwest Lions Sight and Hearing Deputy Chair, Canada Work with the current chair Shelley Costello to promote and administer the program in Canada Peace Poster Contest Deputy Chair, Canada Work with the current chair, Marilyn Cordova to promote the Peace Poster Contest for school aged children in Canada Zone Chair Vacancies The following zone chair positions are currently vacant. To help lessen the administrative requirements you will no longer be asked to prepare a separate monthly Zone Newsletter. You will submit a few paragraphs to the DG Newsletter editor and they will be included in the “In the Zone” section of that newsletter.
