Minutes 19-I–3 rdCabinet Meeting –February 03, 2024–9:30 am (PT) by Zoom The Meeting was call to order at 9:30 am (PT) by DG Michael Livingstone with 18 members present. DG Michael welcomed everyone to the meeting and thanked them all for coming. Additions to the agenda under new business was #4. Approval of two District I representatives on the MD19 Lions Foundation, #5 Youth Exchange applicant and 2 nd VDG Chuck Robinson Report under Global Action team. Approval of additions was moved by PDG Wanda Eddy and Seconded by ZC Debbie Bostock CARRIED Old Business – 1. Approval of the Dec 02, 2023 minutes as circulated was moved by PDG Joe Nilles and seconded by PDG Wanda. CARRIED 2. District Youth Exchange Travel Account–After discussion and DG Michael reported that there was no such account at First Valley or Interior Saving centres. A motion was moved by PDG Wanda and Seconded by PDG Joyce Stevens giving PZC Lorne Grigg cabinet approval to search for the District Youth Exchange Travel Account and Securities balances and signing officers at the Salmon Arm Credit Union. CARRIED ZC Steve Sweeny was also going to look under unclaimed accounts on the internet for this account. 3. LCI 19-D over Budget for 2022-23 travel reimbursement - After discussion it was moved by PDG Joyce and seconded by PDG Wanda that MD19 Executive Sectary Peter Anderson reimburse the 2022-23 travel expenses not paid by Lions Club International to PDG Debbie Allan and DG Michael Livingstone in the total amount of approximately $1,100.00 Canadian from our District Escrow Account. CARRIED New Business – 1. Lions Alert US – A motion was moved by PDG Joe Nilles and Seconded by PZC Dorothy Nilles that the ALERT funds, in the amount of $4838.43 be moved from the Chase Bank in East Wenatchee to Washington Federal, which has branches in Leavenworth. CARRIED 2. A Motion was moved by PDG Wanda and seconded by ZC Debbie to approve a Convention account set up at Valley First Credit Union in Penticton named Lions Clubs District I and the signing officers to be Michael Livingstone, William Robert James Elliott and Charles David Ellis. CARRIED 3. ZC Debbie removed her motion on the Scotch Creek Fire Hall equipment from the agenda 4. It was moved by PDG Joyce and Seconded by ZC Lyle Markhart that 1 st VDG Jenifer Edgar, Creston Lions Club and President Craig Boothe, Lake Chelan Lions Club be District I representatives on the MD19 Lions Foundation. 5. A student from Wenatchee has asked for funding to go to Australia for a month, she will be attending the LCI convention there as well. It was moved by PDG Joe and seconded by Debbie that we give her $1,000.00 US dollars for travel from our Youth Exchange Travel Account.
