Hello everyone.
In October, I had the privilege of traveling with some of our NLF Trustees and attend the Council of
Governors meeting in October, held in Chilliwack, BC. We invited up PDG’s Norma Bent and Wanda
Eddy, to share with everyone the results of our first Starke Hearing Aids recipients in British
Columbia.
NLF has always been active in our Districts in the US, and we are the first to get it available to our
Canadian friends. How Exciting!!!
NLF no longer sends out refurbished hearing aids, but now provides State of the Art, Starke Hearing
Aids. Each hearing aid costs $1,000 over the counter. Thru the Foundation, the cost is $550.00.
NLF pays for 1?2 and your Lion’s Club pays for 1?2. I wish I could tell you how it works in Canada to do
this, but I need to get that information from Norma & Wanda.
I am looking for a Canadian person, very interested in this, to be my elision in Canada. My position is
a voted in position, as yours would be also. I am currently the traveling Trustee, but you would be
part of everything along the way on zoom. Then there would be two of us in our District to work
together and be able to share all information with all clubs. If you are interested in knowing more,

In 2024, NLF approved a grant to Wenatchee Lilac Services for the Blind in the amount of $7,800.
We do have a movie on-line I did, when they gave me a tour of the equipment NLF purchased before
for them. I am anxious to go back in and see what we helped provide this time.
