NWLERC District 19-I Annual Report 2024

The two Lions Zones in District 19-I that are in Washington State are Zones I-6 and

I-7 which have a total of 12 Lions Clubs. Most of these Clubs are collecting used eyeglasses and some have made financial

donations to LERC as well. The recycling center is operating in its 20

th year in 2024

and is back in the swing of things with sorting, cleaning and packing eyeglasses to

be sent on missions in developing countries. Encouraging the collection of used eyeglasses has been a fun visitation subject to

Lions Clubs, senior center, veterans’ hall, etc. Everyone feels good about helping

people in need by collecting used eyeglasses from their friends, neighbors, and

families. My thanks go out to each and every Lions Club and citizen who makes the effort

to help us “Change Lives One Pair of Eyeglasses at a Time”. PDG Patti Sparks
