Report on Constitution and Bylaws of Lions International District Presented to: District Cabinet Meeting A copy of the Constitution and Bylaws for Lions International Districts is available through Lions International by searching "District Constitution" or by using Google or other search engines with the phrase "Lions International Constitution and Bylaws for a District." At the beginning of the document, it is titled: The International Association of Lions Clubs Constitution and By-Laws Standard District Fiscal Year 2024-2025. Structure and Key Provisions:  Pages 1-7: Cover mission, purpose, index, and other legal sections.  Page 7 states that: o Yellow-Shaded Areas are Mandatory Provisions pursuant to International Constitution, By-Laws, and Board Policy and cannot be changed. o Grey-Shaded Areas contain Revised Provisions and Annotations. o Non-Shaded Areas are Permissive Provisions, which can be changed, though with limited flexibility. Article VII – District Convention (Pages 10-11):  Allows for a special convention to be held.  Does not specify a required voting method.  In the past, Election Buddy has been used for official votes, particularly when live conventions were not feasible (e.g., COVID restrictions).  The bylaws allow for the vote to be conducted at an MD19 convention, which the district is a part of. This would constitute a valid District Convention. For further clarification or review, the full District Constitution and Bylaws can be accessed through Lions International’s official resources.
