Council Meeting Report – Aug. 31, 2024
I am pleased to serve as Zone Chair for 19 I 10 for the 2024-25 term.
My zone has 5 clubs with a total membership of 171 as of July 1/24.
None of the clubs in I-10 meet in July and August, however, they do some projects throughout the
summer months and most have held a board meeting to plan the year ahead.
Vernon served 574 pancake breakfasts at the Sun Valley/Watkin Motors Cuise In. Lumby had the beer
gardens at the Motorcycle Ride for Kids. Enderby served lunches to the children (and adults) attending
the annual Fishing camp, Armstrong serves hotdogs at the weekly Music in the Park.
Armstrong and Enderby have Presidents both serving for their second year. Lake Country, Vernon and
Lumby all have new Presidents serving for their first year. I am pleased to see new leadership in all of the
clubs.
I will be planning my personal club visits when I receive the DG visitation schedule for our zone.
