Lead Screening Van Technician

The Lead Screening Van Technician (Lead Tech), pursuant to the direction of the Board of Directors, at all times shall be responsible for appropriate training and supervision of all Screening Van Technicians, for overseeing and assuring that all vehicles and equipment are properly maintained.  Working with the Van Scheduler the Lead Tech will ensure that a Screening Van Technician shall be designated for and shall properly fulfill each assigned screening project. The Lead Tech may, from time to time, also fill the role of Screening Van Technician.

Screening Van Technician

The Screening Van Technicians shall:
(1)    Log in their time of arrival at the bus yard and inspect the van, using the provided check sheet, prior to departure;
(2)    Drive the Screening Van to the screening site and properly secure the vehicle for the event including the connection of a/c power when available;
(3)    Set up the support and screening equipment;
(4)    Train the Lions or other volunteers at the screening site as to the proper procedures and use of the equipment for conducting the screening event;
(5)    Ensure that the proper safety protocols are understood and adhered to be all involved in the screening process;
(6)    Evaluate and discuss screening results with the individuals screened;
(7)    Collect a copy of all completed screening forms:
(8)    Compute the screening statistics for each project and log them in on the Screening Van Tally Sheets or Register;
(9)    Store all equipment safely at the conclusion of each screening project;
(10)    Maintain, or cause to be maintained, all vehicles and equipment in good and proper   condition.
(11)    Return the van to the storage lot, refill the gas tank, complete the poste event inspection sheet and connect the battery charger.
(12)    Complete time sheet and POV mileage. Submit all receipts for payment to the Treasurer.
(13)    THE VAN TECHNICIAN SHALL REPORT ANY EQUIPMENT PROBLEMS OR VAN PROBLEMS DIRECTLY TO THE LEAD VAN TECHNICIAN AFTER THE RUN IS COMPLETED.
