The Suffolk County Lions Diabetes Education Foundation (SCLDEF) is a non-profit 501(c)(3).  It is made up of members from local Lions clubs across Suffolk County, Long Island, NY.  SCLDEF helps create, organize and identify needs for the funding of diabetes programs, as well as, fund diabetes research for a cure for diabetes.

The mission of SCLDEF is to promote diabetes wellness awareness through education and support service as an organization within the meaning of the Internal Revenue Service code Section 501(c)(3) organized and operated exclusively for exempt services.
