 Student Speaker  Foundation Fellowships

  Thomas J. Cook Fellow

This fellowship honors the late Thomas J. Cook, a long-time Lion of the Carson Valley Lions Club. Lion Tom dedicated most of his Lionistic endeavors to promoting and conducting our District student speech contests at the club, regional, and district levels. His enthusiastic endorsement of the youth of Nevada and our speech contest is contagious and inspiring. A one-time contribution of $150 is necessary to become a Cook Fellow. An attractive lapel pin and plaque are awarded, suitably inscribed with the donor's name.

Dr. Audrey G. Williams Fellow

This fellowship honors Audrey G. Williams of the Rachel Lions Club. A Past District Governor, Lion Audrey guided District 46 into single, separate district status, has actively supported the student speaker program in Nevada, and served as a founding member of the Student Speakers Foundation Board of Directors. A one-time contribution of $300 qualifies one to become a Williams Fellow. An attractive lapel pin and plaque are awarded, suitably inscribed with the donor's name.

Vince A. Vinella Fellow

This fellowship honors Vince A. Vinella of the Sparks Spanish Springs Lions Club, the first International Director to serve Lions Clubs International in that capacity from District 46. A Past Council Chairman of the former Multiple District of California/Nevada, Lion Vince has been a leader in the district and multiple district student speaker contest program. A one-time contribution of $500, or two payments of $250 Ea., is needed to become a Vinella Fellow. An attractive lapel pin and plaque is awarded, suitably inscribed with the donor's name.

Governors Club

This special recognition is for individuals who possess each of the Foundation’s fellowships. A beautiful lapel pin identifies such contributors to the Foundation.
