DG Rob Bright joined the Fort Ashby Lions Club in 2002.  He progressed through the offices of the club and served as Club President in 2008 thru 2009 and again in 2012 thru 2013.  Rob has served in the following leadership capacities:

Zone 2 Chairperson 2013 thru 2016

District 29-I Second Vice District Governor 2016 thru 2017

District 29-I First Vice District Governor 2017 Thru 2018

DG Rob received his B.S. in Criminal Justice from Marshall Univversity with a Minor in Business and Sociology in 1982.  He retired as a Department Head from the Bureau of Prisons with 32 years of experience.  Over the course of his career, Rob worked at five (5) institutions.  Upon his retirement in January 2015, Rob started teaching Criminal Justice courses at Allegany College of Maryland.

DG Rob is a Melvin Jones Fellow.  He has been married to his wife, Lion Mary Jane for 29 years.  Lion Mary Jane is also a Melvin Jones Fellow.  Robb and Mary Jane have one daughter, Lion Nicole, who is an Accountant in Huntington, WV.  In addition to Lions, DG Rob is active in numerous professional, church and community activities.

Rob is counting on you, as you are counting on him to help our District grow by working together and learning from each other. Through that we can become better members, better clubs and a better District if we all get involved.
