Preschool Vision Screening Project
INTRODUCING A PROJECT EVERY CLUB CAN DO IN THEIR COMMUNITY
Goal: Allow clubs to conduct pediatric vision screenings for early detection and direct to an eye care provider when needed.
Objective: District 1-A Lions Clubs will conduct vision screenings in children ages six (6) months to six (6) years. The Lions Clubs will use automated photoscreening devices to conduct the screenings, which have been found to be useful for screening children, and their output easily interpreted by the individual screener.
CLUB RESPONSIBILITY
- MAKE CONTACT with a PARTNER ORGANIZATION (pre-schools, daycare etc)
- SELECT DATE AND LOCATION
- CONTACT V.O.I.C.E.S. SCREENING CHAIRMPERSON TO SET UP SCREENING
- HAVE VOLUNTEERS READY
- PROMOTION
- SEND HOME RELEASE FORMS
- FACT SHEETS
- SUPPLY TREATS FOR KIDS
