OHIO LIONS DISTRICT OH3

DISTRICT CONVENTION INVITATION

APRIL 10-11, 2026

Fellow Lions,

I would like to extend a personal invitation for each of you to attend the 2026 Annual Convention for MD 13-OH3 on April 10-11, 2026 at the Greystone Event Center in Wooster. We will gather to discuss district business, elect our District Officers and Representatives for 2026-2027, renew old acquaintances, make new friendships, and remember the Lions that have passed away this last year.

In an effort to encourage increased attendance, the convention will include a Friday night hospitality event with a comedian.  All official convention activities will be held at the Greystone Event Center.  Special hotel rates have been obtained for those who wish to arrive the day before the convention or stay an extra night at the Holiday Inn next door to the event center.  At the close of the convention, Hospitality Rooms will be available at the hotel (located across the parking lot from the Event Center).

You will receive registration packets with all the information you need to register for the convention within the next couple weeks of January’26.

Our international guests for the weekend will be International Director David Wineman and his partner in service, Lion Lindy Wineman from Sebewaing, Michigan. District OH3 will hold its Business Meeting at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 11, 2025 at the Greystone Event Center in Wooster, right after the Necrology Service held at 8:00am, where we will remember the Lions, we have lost since our last District Convention.  You will have an opportunity to interact with our international guests and fellow Lions after lunch.  Seating for the Grand Banquet will begin at 5:30 p.m.

On the evening before the convention, April 10, 2026, we will be sponsoring a comedy event at Greystone Event Centre starting at 7:00pm with hospitality provided by the Broadview Heights Lions Club.

We will be putting on a 50/50 Raffle during the luncheon and dinner Banquet on Saturday.  There will be one winner who will receive ½ of the money collected.   We are asking each club and zone to donate an item or a gift basket for a fundraiser, for a minimum value of $75.00.  One of our committee chairmen will be contacting club presidents and secretaries to get commitments for items or baskets from each club.

I am also asking every Lions club in OH3 to participate in the service project which will be performed the afternoon of Saturday April 11, 2026 where we will stuff kid’s Book bags with school supplies and donate these to schools in need around the district.

Looking forward to seeing each of you this April 10 – 11 2026.

District Governor Gary D. Cerasi
