September 2025
Fellow Lions,
Summer is gone, the leaves on the trees are starting to turn brown, and the sun is setting sooner each day. Corn harvest is waiting for the moisture content to get to acceptable levels so corn will be ready to store or sell.
Club visits are going well, all but six are scheduled and more than half have been completed. Everyone, please report your service hours on the Lions Portal. Reporting helps everyone know what is being done, the impact on our communities and around the world.
October 4-10 is Mental Health and Wellness week worldwide for Lions. Please check out the many types of mental health service your club could provide. Each club should have received a letter with mental health brochures. If possible, bring them to your local school nurse, police department or public library.
Fall Rally is just around the corner, let’s all have as many attend from district 38 N as possible. The Cabinet Meeting will be at 10:15 Saturday morning in Grand Island. Bring a first time attendee from your club and learn about the activities of our Nebraska Lions Foundation and our causes.
Our International Guest will bring us up to date on what is taking place in around the world. As you prepare to come, remember bills with the International, Multiple District and Local District all need to be current in order for your club to nominate a candidate for office. Nominations should be submitted to the Elections Committee as soon as possible.
Keep Leading, Keep Serving…because WE SERVE!
DG John Braisted
