MESSAGE FROM ROXANNE CHANDLER, 1ST VDG - 38N
" Together as One "
I love this theme because that is the way we all should be doing things. I can not believe how quickly this year has gone by. I have been hearing some exciting reports out there concerning the peace contest. This makes me very happy and I look forward to seeing the results at the Fall Rally. If you have not got started on offering this awesome opportunity to our 11-13 year olds it is not too late. I have heard for many that the school art teachers say they don't have time for it, which is true they made their curriculum a year ago. It's time to think outside of the box: girl scouts, boy scouts, youth groups, after school art clubs, the list goes on and on. Any organized group will work as long as it's not a Leo's club or a club financially supported by a Lions Club.
Things to remember:
Age is correct 11-13 years old on November 15th
Size is correct no larger than 20x24 and no smaller than 13x20
Gather your entries in enough time so that your club has time to vote for the one winner that you are bringing to the Multi District.
All entries MUST be presented at your District cabinet meeting at the Fally Rally in Grand Island November 7-8 2025 no entry will be accepted after the Cabinet meeting.
Don't forget the Essay contest for the visually impaired.
DO NOT put the sticker on the back of the poster because when we sign then it presses thru to the front and may ruin the poster.
Make sure the parents info is on the sticker.
If you have not ordered your kit yet be sure to do so by OCTOBER 1. The best way is to order the online version. You get it right away and only have to pay the 11.95 there is no shipping cost that way.
Again so looking forward to seeing the results I wish I could see them all and make everyone of them a winner. That is your job to celebrate each youth that takes part.
