LCIF Update Letter from LCIF Coordinators Ellen and Merlin Olson::
Hello 38N club Presidents and LCIF Club Coordinators;
I just wanted to touch base with you now that the 2025-2026 Lions year is now officially ½ over.
One of my goals was to surpass the 11% average of donating presidents in our district. After mentioning it in the last letter and the calls about” Giving Tuesday” we now have over 1/3 of our presidents making a donation. There is still time to add your name to the list (make sure you put your name on the form.) Now it’s time for the Club Coordinators to make their donations. Merlin and I have visited four clubs so far and have four more scheduled. Please make the call to get us on your agenda.
Several people have taken the opportunity to join the Recurring Donation Program. As a reminder, this program involves scheduling an online monthly contribution of $10 or a recurring annual contribution of at least $120, you can create a lasting impact and qualify for special recognition. Each year of recurring support will bring milestone pins to celebrate your generosity. Recognition items for 2025-26 will be fulfilled at the end of the fiscal year. To donate log into Lions website. There will be a donate box on every page, don’t forget to add your name on the donation.
There are so many ways to support LCIF. Another way to continue serving humanity is to include LCIF in your estate plan. To ensure generations of Lions to come can continue serving those in need, consider creating your Lions legacy by including a gift to LCIF in your will or trust. With a lasting gift to LCIF, you’ll empower Lions worldwide to deliver kindness and compassion to those in need well into the future. There are many options for leaving a gift in your will. To recognize those committing at least $1000 to LCIF in their estate plans, the foundation is pleased to provide a Lions Legacy Society pin. Contact legacy@lionsclub.org for more information. Please call me if you have any questions.
We are pleased to report that as of Jan 31,38N has reached our goal, but please don’t think the need ever goes away. Great news, but don’t forget that your community doesn’t end at your city limits.
Don’t forget the Mid-winter Convention will be in Lincoln on March 6&7 at St Mark’s Methodist Church, 84th and Pioneer.
Hope to hear from you soon.
