District 36-R is proud to be hosting our visiting International Director Judge Anthony Paradiso for three days. The District 36-R Convention is the time and place for the election of the District Governor, First Vice District Governor and Second Vice District Governor for the following Lion Year. Any district member in good standing and meeting the qualifications who may be interested in District leadership roles is encouraged to contact the district secretary at LionsDistrict36R@gmail.com Want to find information on the requirements and procedures for running for District Governor or Vice Governor? Check International BY-LAWS Article IX and District BY-LAWS Article II This convention election will also include an OLSHF Board of Directors position from District 36-R. |

It’s time to polish up those club websites, newsletters, brochures, social media pages, and project reports! All material and projects eligible for various award categories will be reviewed in the month of January by the District Awards committee. Each club is asked to make a basket reflecting the convention theme to bring for the basket raffle. To allow others to "see" all of what's in your basket, please provide a list of items with the name of your club, that can be seen clearly on your basket. For basket raffle questions please call Springfield Lion Monica Henkle at 541-852-2553. This years proceeds will go to TBD. |
Venue Information The convention will be held in the CH2M HILL Alumni Center on the OSU Campus, 725 SW 26th Street, Corvallis. MAP>> Parking Parking is available in the parking structure on the north side of the center, or across the street in the Reser Stadium parking lot. Parking Map>> Dress Code Casual, club vests. Room Block The convention headquarters hotel is the Hilton Garden Inn, 2500 SW Western Blvd, Corvallis. A limited number of rooms are blocked for Friday, February 7th and Saturday, February 8th. The rate is $222 plus tax per night. You may book a room by calling the hotel at 541-752-5000. Be sure to mention the 36-R Lions to get the block rate. The deadline for the block price is Friday, January 17th. Meet & Greet There will be a Friday evening meet & greet Italiano buffet dinner with ID Anthony Paradiso beginning at 6pm in the University Club Room at the Hilton Garden Inn. No-Host bar available onsite. Seating is limited and must be reserved in advance by January 31st. Use the seperate link above. Registration Information Convention Registration Deadline is January 31, 2025, but please register as early possible. Late registrations after the deadline cannot be guaranteed a meal. Registration cost is $55 per Lion, $35 per Leo, and includes: Morning Break Coffee, tea, water, and pastries; Lunch of Garlic & Herb Chicken Breast & Rice; Afternoon Refreshments. To Register by Mail Make checks (NO CASH) payable to District 36-R. Mail registration form and check to: Arnie Anderson, 145 River Rd #6, Junction City OR 97448. Convention badges and programs will be available at the entrance welcome table. To Register Online Click the appropriate online registration link above and follow the instructions. You will receive an email receipt upon completed transaction (it might take up to 15 minutes to receive), and a followup email later from a District 36R Lion. Special circumstance refund requests must be received before January 30, 2025 to be considered. Once meals have been reserved, no refunds will be granted. Online processing fees are not refundable.
