September 2023 Elkton Lions Club Pancake Breakfast The Elkton Lions Club will be providing their ever-popular Swedish and regular pancakes from their booth at the upcoming Fort Umpqua Days in Elkton September 2 and 3. The Swedish pancakes are similar to crepes, with a variety of choices of jam rolled inside and drenched with melted butter and a choice of sprinkled powder sugar, cinnamon, or a combination of those. The regular pancakes are smaller, thicker and usually served just with butter and syrup. Rounding out the breakfast fare are delicious sausages and orange juice, coffee or tea. The breakfast will be served from 7 to 11 a.m. both days. Assisting with serving, set-up and clean-up will be members of the local 4-H club, an invaluable service to Lions and the community at large. Any Lions who happen to attend the event should stop by the booth, buy a delicious breakfast, and just enjoy the day. If you want to pitch in and help, that would be marvelous. All proceeds of the fundraising event go to the general fund which is used for the service events Elkton Lions put on in the community.
