The West Salem Lions Club will be holding their annual Christmas Tree Sale from November 29th thru December 16th. The tree lot will be open Monday thru Saturday from 10am to 7pm and Sundays 10am to 5pm at Ace Hardware, 820 Wallace Rd NW in Salem. This is West Salem Lions' largest fundraiser of the year.
Alvadore-Franklin Lions Club Holiday Bazaar The Alvadore-Franklin Lions Club 15th Annual Community Holiday Bazaar will be held at the Alvadore Fire Station, 90825 Alvadore Rd, Junction City from 9am-4pm. Over 20 vendors! Coffee and pastries will be available from 7:30am to 11:30am and a lunch of soup/bread will be available at 12pm. Baked goods will be sold all afternoon. This bazaar is dedicated to the memory of Lion Donna Korn.
Eugene Downtown Lions Club Breakfast with Santa & Mrs. Claus The Eugene Downtown Lions Club is hosting breakfast with Santa & Mrs. Clause from 9am to Noon, December 14th at The Heartfelt House, 116 Saint Joseph Place, Springfield. A fun activity for both kids & their parents. Tickets are $10 for adults, Kids $5, Kids 3 & under free. For that you get a sausage, pancake & egg breakfast with coffee & orange juice served by Lions & friends of Lions. There will also be holiday vendors, a kids bike raffle and cookie decorating!

Lions Membership Growth Workshop with International Second Vice President Mark Lyon will be coming to conduct a two-day membership growth workshop at the Keizer Lions Den, 4100 Cherry Ave NE, Keizer. MAP>> This workshop is open to all Lions of Multiple Districts 36 and 19 to gain insight and tools to help your clubs attract new members. Planned topics include: Mission 1.5 - Mission and Purpose; Global Membership Approach; The Importance of Succession Planning & Leadership Development Focus; Asset Mapping; Partnering with Other Organizations; LCI Support and Resources; AI Intro; Social Media; PR Intro; Hooking Members; and much more! The workshop is January 13th & 14th from 8am to 4:30 pm. The registration fee is $20 per person for both days and includes lunches. Registration is in advance as space is limited. Stayton Lions Club 4th of July Celebration The Stayton Lions Club 50th Anniversary 4th of July Celebration & Fireworks Display includes an afternoon parade through town and then music and fun at the high school event grounds, with a spectacular fireworks display at dusk.
Eugene Downtown Lions Club Night at PK Park The Eugene Downtown Lions Club is excited to announce the kick-off event of their centennial anniversary celebration. On July 7th we will be hosting a Keep The Promise event at PK park in Eugene beginning at 7pm. Lions Night at PK Park will be a night of baseball, fun and community as we celebrate 100 years of service and recognize our promise made to Helen Keller in 1925 to be Knights of the Blind. We have reserved 100 seats for Lions Club members and their families to join us and make this a memorable evening. Please see the flyer for more details.

Central Lions Club Cruise-In Car Show The 12th Annual Central Lions Club Cruise-In will be held August 19th at Riverview Park in Independence. Gates open at 8am and the show starts at 9am. Open to all years, makes and models. A $25 car registration fee includes breakfast for entry driver. All other breakfasts are $8.00. Goodie bags and dash plaque for first 100 registrations. September 2023 Elkton Lions Club Pancake Breakfast The Elkton Lions Club will be providing their ever-popular Swedish and regular pancakes from their booth at the upcoming Fort Umpqua Days in Elkton September 2 and 3. The Swedish pancakes are similar to crepes, with a variety of choices of jam rolled inside and drenched with melted butter and a choice of sprinkled powder sugar, cinnamon, or a combination of those. The regular pancakes are smaller, thicker and usually served just with butter and syrup. Rounding out the breakfast fare are delicious sausages and orange juice, coffee or tea. The breakfast will be served from 7 to 11 a.m. both days. Assisting with serving, set-up and clean-up will be members of the local 4-H club, an invaluable service to Lions and the community at large. Any Lions who happen to attend the event should stop by the booth, buy a delicious breakfast, and just enjoy the day. If you want to pitch in and help, that would be marvelous. All proceeds of the fundraising event go to the general fund which is used for the service events Elkton Lions put on in the community.

October 2023 Junction City Lions Club Fall Chicken BBQ Fundraiser The Junction City Lions Club will be holding their Fall Chicken BBQ on October 1st, from 9am until 2pm. The is one of the main fundraisers for the club, and many Lion members work hard to make it happen. They expect to sell around 900 half-chickens. This is a drive-thru set up in a parking lot located at the corner of Ivy Street and 2nd Avenue in Junction City.

Jefferson Lions Club Diamond Dames Concert The Jefferson Lions Club is hosting a concert featuring the four part harmonies of the Diamond Dames. The event is at 7pm on October 14th, held at the Jefferson United Methodist Church at 310 N 2nd Street in Jefferson. The admission charge is $15 per person. There will also be a dessert and silent auction.
Stayton Lions Club Pop-Up Food & Used Eyeglasses Drive The Stayton Lions Club will have a pop-up food drive on October 15th from 11am to 3pm in the Roth's Market parking lot to benefit the Stayton Community Food Bank. We will also be collecting used eyeglasses.
District 36-R Region and Zone Chair Training A training workshop for all District 36-R Region and Zone Chairs will be held on October 21st at the Viking Sal Center, 245 W 5th Avenue, Junction City. MAP>> Registration/Check-in begins at 8am with training to start at 8:30am. All Region and Zone Chairs are highly encouraged to attend.
OLSHF Annual Hallowe'en Ball This Oregon Lions Sight & Hearing Foundation annual fundraising gala, held at 5pm in the Governor Ballroom of The Sentinel Hotel, is their biggest (and funnest!) event of the year. Stayton Lions Club Trick or Treat Booth The Stayton Lions Club will be participating along with local merchants in the Trick or Treat event along Third Avenue in Downtown Stayton. Our booth will be set up to pass out candy from 3:30 until 6:30.

Club International Peace Poster Contest Submission Deadline All district clubs participating in the Lions International Peace Poster Contest must have their club level winning entry submitted to the District Governor by November 15th. Mapleton Lions Club Turkey Bingo The Mapleton Lions Club will be hosting Turkey Bingo from 7pm until 9:30pm at 88148 Riverview Ave., Mapleton. Doors open at 6:00pm with Bingo starting at 7:00pm. Twenty games will be played, with twenty frozen turkey prizes! There will also be a pie auction at intermission.

Stayton Lions Club December Food Drive The Stayton Lions Club provides and then picks up ten collection barrels for the Stayton M/I School and Sublimity Elementary School food drives. Additional barrels are also placed at local stores, Stayton City Hall and Stayton swimming pool. The food drives benefit the local Stayton Community Food Bank.
Central Lions Club Free Gloves At Santa Train Stop The Central Lions Club will be handing out free gloves to children from the Monmouth/Independence area at the Annual Santa Train stop in Indepenence. Santa makes his ride into town on the train to join children and adults as they begin their community celebration of the season.
Alvadore-Franklin Lions Club Holiday Bazaar & Breakfast The Alvadore-Franklin Lions Club Holiday Bazaar will be held at the Alvadore Fire Station, 90825 Alvadore Rd, Junction City from 9am-4pm. A breakfast will be served from 7am-9am and a lunch at 11:30am. This holiday bazaar will feature home made gifts. There is room for 30 vendors and space is available for only $20 a table. Philomath Lions Club Photos with Santa at the Library The Philomath Lions Club will be assisting with photos with Santa from 10am to Noon at the Philomath Library, 1050 Applegate Street, Philomath. Santa will be arriving at 10 am via Old #1, weather permitting, courtesy of Philomath Fire and Rescue. The Philomath Frolic Rodeo Queen will be assisting Santa and handing out candy canes. We assist parents with taking family photo's and trying to make children smile while the parents take photos.

East Albany Lions Club Sportsman & Gun Show The East Albany Lions Club will be presenting their 2024 Sportsman & Gun Show at the Linn County Fairgrounds Expo Building in Albany on January 13th and 14th. Admission is $10, with active/retired military $8. The show hours are 9am-5pm Saturday January 13th, 9am-3pm Sunday January 14th. Sporting and hunting supplies as well as new, used and antique guns, knives, military collectibles, ammo, reloading, and much more will all be on display.

Keizer Lions Club Flea Market The Keizer Lions Club holds a monthly Flea Market at the Keizer Lions Den, 4100 Cherry Avenue, in Keizer. Hours are 9am-5pm Friday and Saturday, 9am-3pm Sundays. The dates for February are the 9th, 10th & 11th. The money raised from vendor booth fees goes towards helping with the upkeep of the Keizer Lions Den building. There is also a donation table with money going towards sight and hearing assistance.
Springfield Lions Club February Food Drive The Springfield Lions Club food drive is during the month of February. Food donations can be dropped off at club meetings on Mondays, noon to 1pm, at Roaring Rapids Pizza Company, 4006 Franklin Blvd, Eugene. In addition, the club will be accepting cash or grocery gift cards the entire year of 2024. Make checks payable to Springfield Lions (memo food drive) and send to the club at P.O. Box 625, Springfield OR 97477 Attention: Treasurer.

Springfield Lions Club Mother's Day Plant Sale The Springfield Lions Club 41st Annual Mother's Day Plant Sale will be held 9am to 3pm on May 11th in the BIG LOTS! Parking lot at 58th and Main Street in Springfield. A great selection of Rhododendrons and Azaleas will be for sale at $30 each, or two for $50.

Florence-Siuslaw Lions Club Car Show The Florence-Siuslaw Lions Club is sponsoring this year’s Rhododendron Festival Car show in Florence. The show will be held at the Florence Middle School, 2525 Oak Street, Florence, from 9am to 3pm on Saturday, May 18th. There will be cars of all types, along with a lot of good music, food and fun! Junction City Lions Club Fundraising Breakfast The Junction City Lions Club will be providing a fundraising breakfast from 7am to 10am for the Coburg Car Classic on Saturday, August 3rd at the I.O.O.F. Hall, 91119 N Willamette St, Coburg. They have been providing breakfast for car show attendees for a few years, and the proceeds go to the charities they donate to. An Oregon Lions Sight & Hearing Foundation meeting will begin at 9am with the COG meeting to follow. Doors open at 8am with breakfast snacks. Lunch is at noon ($5, please give advance notice by Aug 15 for head count). Meetings are open to any Lion member to attend.

The Jefferson Lions Club is selling Willamette Valley Pies. Orders are being taken from October 1 thru 26, 2024. Contact Lion Wendy at 503-971-8329 to order. Pies can be picked up on November 16, 2024 after 3PM at Wendy's house in Jefferson. The pies come frozen and may be prepared when you want. Wendy has pricing and types of pies information. The club will also be selling pies at the Jefferson Pumpkin Fest on October 19, 2024 in Jefferson.
Region 1 Eyeglass Sorting Party October 5th The Region 1 Eyeglass Sorting Party will be held at 2pm, Saturday October 5th, at the Keizer Lions Clubhouse, 4100 Cherry Avenue NE Keizer.
Newport Lions Club at Newport Trunk or Treat The Newport Lions Club will be participating in the Newport community Trunk or Treat event. This annual Newport event is held 5pm-8pm at the Newport Elks Lodge, 45 SE Moore Drive, Newport. Over 500 kids and their families are expected!
Newport Lions Club at Samaritan Health Expo The Newport Lions Club will be at the Samaritan Health Expo from 9am to 1pm on October 19th at 740SW 9th Street in Newport. Free health screenings will be provided with Lions members doing vision screenings upstairs.
MD36 Council of Governors Quarterly Meeting The MD36 Council of Governors will meet at the Yamhill County Historical Society Museum, 11275 SW Durham LN, McMinnville on October 26th. An Oregon Lions Sight & Hearing Foundation meeting will begin at 9am with the COG meeting at 1pm. Doors open at 8am with breakfast snacks. Lunch is at noon ($5, please give advance notice for head count). Meetings are open to any Lion member to attend.
Newport/Waldport Lions Clubs at Waldport Trunk or Treat The Newport Lions Club and Waldport Lions Club will be participating in the Waldport community Trunk or Treat event on October 26th at the Central Coast Fire Department, 125 NW Alsea Hwy, Waldport. Springfield Lions Club Book Fair The Springfield Lions Club is participating in a Book Fair through Barnes & Noble on Saturday, November 16th from 1:00pm - 7:00pm. For all in-store and online purchases during these hours only, our club gets a small percentage of sales in the form of gift cards or money, depending on the total volume ...but ONLY if the purchaser provides our voucher number (12814430) or lets the cashier know the Oregon Springfield Lions Club should be given credit for the purchase. We will be at the Barnes & Noble store at 1163 Valley River Dr, Eugene to offer complimentary gift wrapping, have a crafts table to keep the kids occupied while you shop, and have some refurbished reading glasses to give away.
Newport Lions Club Turkey Bingo The Newport Lions Club and Women of the Moose will be holding a Bingo night on Wednesday November 20th at the Waldport Moose Lodge, 250 NW John Street, Waldport. The event is open to the public and will be from 6pm-7:30pm. Cost is $2 per game with Turkeys and Thanksgiving desserts for prizes.
Mapleton Lions Club Turkey Bingo The Mapleton Lions Club will hold their annual Turkey Bingo on November 22nd at the Mapleton clubhouse, 88158 Riverview Drive, Mapleton. 20 turkeys are up for grabs with a winning bingo card! Doors open at 6pm. 20 cards are $10 for adults, $5 for kids. Daubers are available for $1. There will also be a dessert auction at the halftime intermission.
West Salem Lions Club Christmas Tree Sale The West Salem Lions Club will be holding their annual Christmas Tree Sale from November 29th thru December 16th. The tree lot will be open Monday thru Saturday from 10am to 7pm and Sundays 10am to 5pm at Ace Hardware, 820 Wallace Rd NW in Salem. This is West Salem Lions' largest fundraiser of the year.
